Newcomer Natsuma has dropped her engaging debut single, ‘Miss You’. It’s a nostalgic track that leans into its title, but interestingly, at the time of writing wasn’t about anyone or anything, despite the track ending up taking on new meaning for Natsuma in the months following its composition. “At the time I’d never really experienced a proper breakup or heartbreak - however this song would foretell a situation I was in a bit later which I find a little spooky - manifestation through music.” The warped viny sound on the piano chords add to the atmosphere of the track, with the electronic drums and bass adding to the unique texture. Her debut EP, Oops, drops on November 4th and was written and produced entirely in her garden shed. -Dan Peeke.
